California Residential Natural Gas Consumption

The "Residential Ave Natural Gas Use" provides information on the last 45 years of average household natural gas use, annual total residential use, and number of residential customers. The data shows that despite doubling the number of residential customer during the past 45 years, the annual total has dropped by 7%, but the average household use has been reduced by 54%. This is the result of our appliance and building energy efficiency standards.
