May 23, 2016 - Sliding back into that upward trend for a second week. Regular is above last week's price by a little over a cent.

The average price in California for regular gasoline increased 1.5-cents from the previous week. The average statewide price for regular was $2.804. Mid-grade and premium prices increased as well.

The national average for self-serve regular is at $2.300, up 5.8 cents from the previous week.This is 50.4 cents lower than the price of regular in California.
